Observant readers

I'm really impressed with how many of you mentioned Pottery Barn or Pottery Barn Kids when commenting on our playroom... you know your stuff! We did indeed get the wall unit, baskets, chalkboard labels, table and chairs, and rug from Pottery Barn Kids. The room gets more use than almost any other in the whole house, so we decided to get exactly what we wanted and what I have drooled over in the catalog for years! Organization is really important to Rick and I both, so this was a great way to keep the toys in order, while still keeping a main and very visible room in our house looking nice. When you walk in our front door the living room/dining room (playroom) are the first things you see off to the right. We just love the way it all turned out!

I'm also glad a few of you noticed Riley's hair in the first picture of the Easter post. As I wrote, that photo was taken on Saturday morning, while I was in the Tri-Cities. Rick braided Riley's hair all on his own! The week before, our nanny Sarah had braided Riley's hair while Rick was at work. That night, he looked it over, played around with it a bit, figured out how it worked, and now is a certified Hair Braider... it's like getting a new badge for our parenting sashes, like in scouts. I'm still working on my Wall Painting badge, Veggie at Every Dinner badge, and many others.

What a great daddy!

Okay, enough procrastinating... I'm off to write two papers for class tonight.

Sadly, it didn't click. Really sadly, in fact, considering both girls have plenty of things from PBK. =( I'm blaming it on sleep deprivation. ~ No, my 6th month old STILL won't sleep through the night.

I do love the way you used the space!

I still need my veggie at every dinner badge too! I finally began giving up on some gourmet veggie and began serving Cesar salad or corn those two things I know everyone will eat and even ask for more. once in a while we'll do asparagus but I'm really the only one who will eat it. and anything else cooked they all look at me like I'm crazy! ha
So, we just serve them fresh w/ ranch most of the time, I set out a mini veggie platter with broccoli, celery & carrots. that works the best...

I want to get that cook book deceptively delicious...

We'll see I may never get that badge tho!
